The Archdiocese of Washington requires school volunteers to be in compliance with the Child Protection Policy. As a result of COVID-19 restrictions, the requirements have been modified until further notice.
Step 1: Create a Virtus account at www.virtus.org
Step 2: Volunteers must complete a Volunteer Application.
Step 3: Volunteers must register for and attend a virtual Virtus Safe Environment training. A list of virtual training dates/times can be found by logging into your Virtus account. Please note that the Virtus Safe Environment training must be completed within 60 days of creating your Virtus account (step 1). Please be advised you will need to sign and return a Policy Acknowledgement form to Allison Cogswell. The form will be provided following the training.
Step 4: All volunteers are required to complete an Electronic Background Check. Email email@example.com to schedule an appointment. Please be advised that all volunteers will be required to complete the LiveScan fingerprinting once restrictions are lifted.
